Refund policy

We have a 7-day return policy, which means you have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return if the item is defective or if you receive the incorrect item.

If you wish to return your item because you have changed your mind please be aware there will be a 10% restocking fee for the item and you will need to return the item as set out in the terms below. The restocking fee will be deducted from your refund. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at sales@abbottcs.co.uk. Please note that returns will need to be sent to the following address: Abbott Catering Services Ltd, Unit 2 The Grove Ind. Estate, Swanley, Kent, BR8 8AJ at your own cost and suitably insured for the cost of replacement. 

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label (if applicable), as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Do not send items back to us without first requesting a return as these will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. You must notify us immediately or at least within 24 hours for us to process a damaged delivery reorder. Notifying us outside of this window will mean we cannot claim for a damaged delivery from the courier and therefore you will have accepted the items in the condition they are in.  

If your equipment develops a fault then a warranty request will need to be placed. Please contact us office@abbottcs.co.uk and fill out the warranty request form, this will be placed with the manufacturer of your equipment and they will advise on timings to visit and rectify the issue. Please note you cannot return a faulty item without prior consent and this requires that the manufacturer has tried to rectify the fault and has confirmed the fault is not able to be rectified. 

We will not be liable for the costs if you arrange your own inspection of a product without prior authorisation in writing from Abbott Catering Services Ltd that we will cover such costs. 


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable items (such as food, rubber seals, hoses etc), electrical circuit boards, custom products (such as special orders, fabrication or personalized items).

We cannot accept equipment returns if the equipment has been opened and packaging disposed of or if the equipment has been used, unless the item is faulty and we have agreed a return.

We cannot accept returns on custom fabrication or any item which is listed as 'Special Order', 'Non Returnable' or made to order. 

We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on B-Rated Sale Items.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.


Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
